Training is aimed at increasing the ability of individuals to perform job-related functions. But not all problems are solved simply by imparting knowledge and information. Often people know "how" to do the work, but for a multitude of reasons are just not performing. Other factors get in the way such as workflow, organizational structure, the reward system, and organizational culture. OD embraces a "whole" organization - systems - perspective, which looks at the people, processes, interrelationships and group dynamics that make up a system. Because organizational change in one area often impacts other areas of the system, we pay close attention to the integration of actions in order to achieve the most positive results for the entire organization.
